Mechanical

The Mechanical team uses Onshape for CAD design, then manufactures and assembles robot parts while continually iterating on the robots. Our current goals include refining the Senfantry chassis and revamping Hero for future competitions.

Triton Robotics Senfantry robot

Senfantry

Infantry is the most agile robot in the ARC competition. It is equipped with a 17 mm projectile launcher capped at a 20 m/s launch speed. It is the team’s main offensive tool, using fast and aggressive plays to outmaneuver opponents, act as a scout, and control the center point of the Hotzone.

Sentry is mechanically identical to Infantry, but it is fully autonomous, including navigation and computer vision, while Infantry is driver-controlled with computer vision.

The latest iteration of the Infantry robot uses an x-drive, increasing lateral movement and enabling “spin-to-win” maneuvers.

Triton Robotics Hero robot

Hero

Hero is an offensive ground robot in ARC. It is equipped with 42 mm projectiles with a capped speed of 16 m/s, which can be accompanied by a secondary 17 mm projectile launcher.

The current iteration of Hero uses a rectangular mecanum chassis that balances beyblading with linear speed.
