Nucleo F446RE development board used by Triton Robotics

The Embedded sub-team programs the control systems and algorithms for all of our robots. We use the Nucleo F446RE, an STM32 board that we program with Zephyr RTOS. Our work includes firmware, communication protocols, controls, and algorithms.

Our controls group works on motor-system characterization and PID control methods using MATLAB and Simulink. The firmware group ensures consistent communication with sensors and the autonomy team using C++ and RTOS libraries. The algorithms group builds on this work to control our robots’ kinematics and responses.

All of our sub-teams work together to deliver robots with smooth, responsive controls for both drivers and autonomous systems.
